Air purifier installation in Los Angeles
A whole-home air purifier treats every cubic foot of air that passes through your HVAC system — not just the room where a portable unit sits. HVAC in LA installs air purification systems directly in your ductwork or air handler, so every room in the house gets cleaner air 24/7.
We install and service all major whole-home purification brands: Aprilaire, Honeywell, RGF REME HALO, Lennox PureAir, IQAir, and others. The right system depends on what you're trying to remove — particles, VOCs, biologicals, or all three.
Technologies we install
- REME HALO — photo-electrochemical oxidation kills biologicals (bacteria, viruses, mold) and reduces VOCs throughout the home.
- Lennox PureAir / Aprilaire 5000 — combines HEPA-grade filtration with UV and carbon to address particles, biologicals, and odors.
- iWave — needle-point bi-polar ionization for odors and particles without producing ozone.
- Whole-home HEPA bypass — dedicated air handler bypass with true HEPA filtration for maximum particle removal.

Questions, answered
Air Purifiers FAQs
Do whole-home air purifiers actually work?
Yes, when properly sized and installed. In-duct purification systems treat the air continuously as it circulates through your HVAC system. Results vary by technology — we recommend systems with published third-party test data, not just marketing claims.
Do air purifiers produce ozone?
Some do — ozone-generating systems are not recommended for occupied spaces. We only install certified low-ozone or zero-ozone technologies (REME HALO-LED, iWave, HEPA systems). We'll specify ozone output for every system we recommend.
What is the difference between a purifier and a filter?
Filters capture particles mechanically. Purifiers additionally neutralize biologicals (bacteria, viruses, mold) and/or VOCs through UV, plasma, or chemical reactions. A complete IAQ solution usually combines both.
How much does a whole-home air purifier cost?
Installation ranges from $700 (entry-level iWave or UV light) to $2,500+ (HEPA bypass system with carbon filtration). Most systems are eligible for HEEHRA or energy efficiency rebates as part of a qualifying HVAC project.
